Detroit artist Tyree Guyton's works will be featured in "An American Show," an exhibit sponsored by the MSU College of Law on Thursday, with a reception at 4:30 p.m.
Guyton's work represents real-life inner-city issues he encountered firsthand living in Detroit. He is best known for his open-air installations and paintings of Heidelberg Street where he was raised.
The show features Guyton's American Flag Series, which questions basic assumptions on freedom, beauty and opportunity.
The exhibit will be on display on the third and fourth floors of the law college.
