The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan will host a 5K walk at 7:30 p.m. today, beginning and ending at the Auditorium. Participants have to register prior to the event online at wishmich.org. or call (800) 622-9474, as well as raise a minimum of $125. Walker registration begins at 6 p.m. at the Auditorium.

All the proceeds will go toward granting the wishes of children in the area with terminal illnesses or any other life-threatening medical conditions. Last year, the Lansing walk raised more than $18,000 for three children's wishes. Sparty will also make a guest appearance at the walk, and refreshments will be provided.
