A new report by the MSU Site for Information and Telecommunication Experimentation, or M-SITE, has recently found communities in northern Michigan without broadband service suffer because of it.
M-SITE, which is a group of 140 students and faculty from the department of telecommunication, information studies and media, worked with many northern communities to develop a plan to help these communities have more access to broadband technology, which they say will help to improve job growth and emergency services.
