Union to march in defense of TA jobs

The Graduate Employees Union will be marching across campus Thursday to defend teaching assistants' jobs, union President Scott Henkel said.

Graduate employees, faculty and community members will march in protest of any possible TA positions being cut before next fall.

"We're trying to put some real public pressure on the board of trustees and the provost to put quality education first over other budgetary concerns," GEU spokeswoman Julie Hartman said.

All interested in attending should meet at 11:30 a.m. at the south entrance of the Union.

The march will end at the Administration Building.
