MSU police officers were called to Wilson Hall on Monday on a report of arson in the building, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.When officers arrived, they discovered five male students, ages ranging from 18 to 20, setting fire to marshmallow Easter candy.A patch of carpeting was charred in the process, causing less than $200 in damage.The men told police their only intention was to burn the marshmallows, and they did not mean to damage any university property, McGlothian-Taylor said.All five were arrested for arson-related offenses. They have since been released, and the case has been referred to the Ingham County Prosecutor's office.
