Domestic violence shelter to host race

MSU Safe Place is holding its annual Race for the Place 5K to benefit the nation's only on-campus domestic violence shelter.

The 5K run, walk or wheel starts at 1 p.m. on April 18 at the Jenison Field House. Participants can register as a team or individually. Registration is $20 per participant before April 6, and $25 after the deadline or on the day of the race. Students with a valid MSU ID pay $20 any time.

Prizes will be awarded for the event.

Children 12 years old or younger also can run in the One-Mile Fun Run, and children six and under can participate in the Kids Run with the Spartans 100-Yard Dash.
