Thomas H. Greer, a retired MSU professor emeritus, died Feb. 16.

Greer was an instructor and captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was the author of several books, including a biography of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and "A Brief History of the Western World."

Donations can be made to either the Democratic National Committee or the MSU Scholarship Fund. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on March 7 at the Edgewood United Church, 469 N. Hagadorn Road.

Greer is survived by his wife, Margarette Greer, son, Tom M. Greer, daughter, Beth Cafagna, grandson, Carl Cafagna and great-granddaughter, Anna Cafagna.
