A 20-year-old female student told police her backpack was stolen from her car in the East Holden Hall loop on Jan. 20, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The student left the car unlocked while she went inside and returned to find her backpack missing.The backpack and its contents, including textbooks, calculators and a CD player, are valued at $647.Police have no suspects. A female university employee, 44, reported $315 stolen from a West Akers Hall office between Monday and Tuesday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The money was kept in a locked file cabinet and doors to the office had been locked at the time.Police are investigating. A 20-year-old female student reported her wallet stolen from her Armstrong Hall room between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.McGlothian-Taylor said the student had eight to 12 people visiting at the time of the theft, but didn't know her wallet was missing until a credit union notified her that someone had used her ATM card.Value of the wallet and its contents is $72, and police have no suspects.
