Honors College hosts annual Geek Week

This week, the Honors College Programming Board will host its second annual Geek Week.

The week's events will begin today with the "The Milky Way Legacy" show at 7:30 p.m. in Abrams Planetarium. At the same time Tuesday, a free bowling tournament will be held at the Union with four-person student teams competing for prizes.

Wednesday night, Holmes Hall's Sparty's Convenience Store will host an open mic night from 9 to 11 p.m. for poetry readings, music and skits.

At 8 p.m. Thursday, students can participate in movie night in Eustace-Cole Hall lounge. The film has not yet been chosen.

Geek Week will conclude Friday at 7:30 p.m. with "Beat the Geeks," a Jeopardy!-style competition. Four student teams will compete through elimination rounds with the winner squaring off against Honors College professors and staff members.
