Barrister's ball to raise money for charity

The second annual Barrister's Charity Ball for MSU-DCL College of Law students, faculty and staff will take place from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday at the Sheraton Lansing Hotel, 925 S. Creyts Road.

The MSU-DCL Student Bar Association is hosting the ball to raise money for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Ingham County.

Judge Nannette Bowler, a former director of the MSU Chance at Childhood Program, will be speaking at the event.

Court Appointed Special Advocates started in 1977 and trains community volunteers to be advocates for children in the courts system.
