College Bowl, talent show top UAB events

The University Activities Board is welcoming back students by offering various events on campus. All events are free of admission to students:

The College Bowl Tournament application fee of $20 is due today. Trivia questions will cover topics such as history, science and literature. The winners will go on to represent MSU at the regional competition. Contact coordinator Josh Durbin at (517) 355-3354 for more information.

In conjunction with the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Activities Committee, UAB will host a talent show at 7 p.m. in the Union Ballroom.

"(It will be similar to) 'Showtime at the Apollo,'" Durbin said.

Also, returning to campus after his fall 2002 show, hypnotist Thomas Bresadola will perform at the International Center at 9:15 and 11 p.m.

The first UAB meeting of the year is at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Ohio State Room in the Union. General business, including planning upcoming events, will resume after introducing new members.
