Senior class holds charity bowl Saturday

November 4, 2003

The MSU Senior Class Council will host its sixth annual Green and White Charity Bowl, a touch football tournament, at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Teams of seven to 12 can sign up for the event before today's deadline by donating $40, which will go to the charity of the winning team's choice.

Senior Class Council member Sara Ramsey said each year the game creates community awareness of giving to others.

"This is a great philanthropic event brought together by a sense of giving and sharing and a spirit of community and good football," she said.

The event will include live entertainment and local businesses will be donating food and raffle prizes for participants.

Last year, 10 teams participated and helped the council raise $1,400 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lansing, Ramsey said.

Forms can be picked up outside of room 323 Student Services.
