MSU assistant hockey coach Tom Newton and his wife Eve will make their debut as grillers from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at BD's Mongolian Barbeque.
The couple will be guests at the restaurant, 2080 W. Grand River Ave. in Okemos, in an effort to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. All tips given at the grill during the event will benefit the nonprofit organization, which helps children with serious medical conditions.
The Newtons will attempt to master the art of grilling on the restaurant's 2,000-pound grill while tossing meats and veggies with 3-foot metal swords.
