The Undergraduate University Division is sponsoring the Marathon of Majors from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday in hopes of alleviating some of the confusion undergraduates face in choosing a major.

The event will be on the first-floor classroom wing of Bessey Hall. Students will have the opportunity to learn about different colleges within MSU and also will be able to see information regarding study abroad, career development and academic support services.

"It's geared toward freshmen and sophomores to help them choose a major or figure our what major they want to change into," said Jonelle Golding, an academic adviser in the Undergraduate University Division.

"Even if students are in the major they want to be in, we can talk to them about specializations in other colleges and dual majors and that's something many students don't consider."
