Vigil to be held for violence survivors

A candlelight vigil will be held tonight in remembrance of victims and survivors of domestic violence for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Several galleries in the area will open at 5 p.m. for a walk featuring art displays.

The candlelight vigil ceremony and speech by Judge Amy Krause starts at 7 p.m. in Burchard Park in Old Town.

The event is sponsored by MSU Safe Place, Capital Area Response Effort and End Violent Encounters Inc.
