The African Studies Center will sponsor two discussion events this week.

Ph.D. Research Fellow Poul Wiseborg will give a presentation at noon today in room 201 of the International Center. The "Human Rights and Land Tenure Reform: Experiences from Namaqualand, South Africa" discussion will focus on communal land tenure reform as a controversial and delayed aspect of South Africa's land-reform program.

The center will also host a forum at noon on Friday at the same location. "Analyzing the Roots of the Crisis: Under What Conditions Can Media Interventions Make a Difference" will feature professor Bella Mody from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences.
