National Farm Safety and Health Week will be held Sept. 21-27 to educate farmers on safety regulations that could help workers avoid the dangers of the second most hazardous industry in the United States.
MSU Extension received a four-year grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to offer the AgrAbility Program, an initiative to assist Michigan farmers who have experienced injuries or changes in health that affect their ability to farm.
AgrAbility will provide assistance and occupational counseling to help clients who have experienced physical disabilities find ways to modify their equipment and homes.
