Music School starts program for seniors

September 15, 2003

The MSU Community Music School will launch the New Horizons Band program, which will give senior citizens an opportunity to develop new musical skills.

Participants will receive lessons, attend rehearsals and participate in group performances.

Instructors Patti Kroth and Brian Enabnit will conduct the program, which was created to provide intellectual stimulation and social interaction.

An informational meeting for adults 50 and older, along with the opportunity to try out various instruments including flutes and saxophones, will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the MSU Music School Large Group Rehearsal Room, 841 Timberlane St., across from Burcham Hills retirement community.
