Concert to celebrate First Amendment

September 8, 2003

A concert will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairchild Theatre of banned or censored songs and multi-media displays. The concert, which is free to the public, will appear at other area venues earlier in the week, including Okemos High School and Marygrove College Theatre in Detroit.

The Freedom Sings concert series celebrates the First Amendment and free speech with live music, narration and multi-media video presenting songs that have been challenged or used for government protest.

The Fairchild Theater is located in the MSU Auditorium. No tickets are required.
