Voters approved the renewal of the Residence Halls Association's $21 tax last week.
From 7 a.m. Wednesday to 7 p.m. Thursday, 77 percent of 2,000 students voted online in favor of continuing the payment of the per-semester tax to the organization.
The funding is used for programs such as the Campus Center Cinemas and divided among campus groups and residence halls for functions and educational purposes.
