MSU Safe Place will hold its annual "Race for the Place" 5K run, walk and wheel at 1 p.m. April 13 on campus.
Those who wish to compete must have their team of five or more officially registered before April 1. Registration costs $15 before the deadline, but those interested can still register afterward or at the race for $20.
The competition will include four categories for participants: student groups, campus units, community groups and corporate and business teams. Organizers of the race said this is a wonderful way to exercise and support a good cause.
This year's co-chairs include MSU First Lady Joanne McPherson, Lupe Izzo and women's basketball coach Joanne P. McCallie.
MSU Safe Place is the nation's only on-campus domestic violence shelter and prevention program.
