I am writing in response to "Ozone deserves Izzone-type respect" (SN 1/30). I have nothing against the Ozone, but this 1984 graduate is going on bad information.

The writer states she cannot afford Izzone tickets and is penalized with upper-bowl tickets and the missed opportunities of not being on TV and receiving freebies.

First off, I had to first enter a lottery then from there camp out in the cold for a day and a half. Students who did not get tickets were given the chance to be in the Ozone for a year, and then moved down to the Izzone next season.

Secondly, we are not there to just win free things - we are there to cheer and support our basketball team. So if what you are looking for is some TV time and free handouts, then you have come to the wrong arena.
