A 20-year-old East Jordan man driving his car struck a 20-year-old female student while she was walking across Farm Lane about 1:45 p.m. Thursday. The student was taken to Lansing's Sparrow Hospital with a head injury after she was struck by the Ford Taurus traveling northbound, MSU police Sgt. Randy Holton said. The student was hit near Erickson Hall. Police are investigating.• A 44-year-old female MSU employee reported three women in their 20s attempted to steal a $200 brown twig reindeer with Christmas lights and a wreath from Wonders Hall cafeteria, MSU police Lt. Kelly Beck said.About 2:25 p.m. Thursday, two women held the cafeteria doors open, while another woman attempted to take the reindeer, Beck said.They gave the reindeer back and left the cafeteria, Beck said.• A 38-year-old male employee reported a Gateway computer tower and monitor stolen from the Plant and Social Sciences Building, Beck said.Between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday the computer was taken from a locked room, Beck said. There was no forced entry. The computer and monitor are valued at $700.• A 18-year-old male student reported textbooks and cologne stolen from his Emmons Hall room, Beck said.The student's room keys were misplaced or taken sometime after Nov. 22, Beck said. The items, which valued about $200, were taken between 4 p.m. Nov. 22 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Beck said.• A 20-year-old female student reported a $100 textbook stolen from the Main Library, Beck said.Between 1:45 p.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday the student left her book unattended on a table and when she came back it was gone, Beck said.
