• Accapalooza will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Auditorium’s Fairchild Theatre. • The Student Greenhouse Project will hold its weekly meeting at 9:30 p.m. today in the Illinois Room of the Union. The student group hopes to create a tall waterfall, flowers, trees, cliffs, hummingbirds, a study room and a place to hang out for students. • United Christian Students is holding an informational session at 9:30 p.m. today in the conference room of Owen Hall. The group is seeking actors, actresses, interpreters of the death, dancers, stagehands, musicians, etc. for the play “It’s Not a Fantasy, It’s Life.” This Christian play symbolizes the “Wizard of Oz” and everyone is encouraged to participate. • Olin Health Center will hold a “Friends watch out for friends” presentation with Bradley McCue and Eric Blair’s mothers at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Auditorium’s Fairchild Theatre. • The Faculty Folk Club of MSU will host a tour of the new Biomedical and Physical Science Building at 1 p.m. Friday in room 1425. The program will begin with a presentation by Robert Wiseman, director of the Molecular Imaging Research Center, followed by a guided tour. Wiseman’s research interest is on the effects of metabolic stress on gene expression in muscle in molecular and disease states such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. • Women and International Development presents “Multiple Discourses on Women’s Human Rights and Islam: The Complex Intersections of Law, Religion, and Custom in Pakistan” at 7 p.m. Thursday in Spartan Room C of the International Center. Anne Hellum’s lecture will address some of the different understandings and strategies concerning the role of law, religion and custom in improving the position of women in Pakistan. • The History Association of Michigan State will host its general member meeting at 7:30 p.m. today in 314 Morrill Hall. The new group is open for all MSU undergraduates interested in history. Come check out tonight’s meeting and hear our guest speaker. Then join us Oct. 30 for our first field trip to the Michigan History Museum in Lansing. • Spartan Bigs will hold its meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Ohio State Room of the Union. Spartan Bigs, affiliated with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Lansing, plans activities for kids waiting to be matched with a Big Brother or Sister. It is not required that Spartan Bigs members be volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Spartan Bigs provides many volunteer opportunities with minimal time commitment. Sports

• The MSU Aikido Club holds training from 6:45-8:15 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 2-3:30 p.m. Sundays in the IM Sports-West Judo Room. Aikido, the way of harmony, grew out of the combat disciplines of Japanese Samurai. Beginners are always welcome.
