Center to hold lectures

The African Studies Center will be hosting several lectures this month.

Michael Lipton, a professor from Sussex University’s Poverty Research Unit, will be speaking on “Hungry Farmers: A National Security Issue for All,” at noon Wednesday in 201 International Center. Wednesday is the 19th annual World Food Day.

John Daniel, research director in the Democracy and Governance program, will be speaking on “Truth and Reconciliation in Recent South and Southern African Political Transition: A Comparative Assessment,” at noon Thursday in 201 International Center.

On Oct. 24, linguistics and languages Professor Grover Hudson will be hosting a brown bag lunch lecture at noon in 201 International Center.
