  • The Eli Broad College of Business Student Senate is holding a student organization fair for all students interested in business at 8 p.m. today on the first floor of the Business College Complex. Each organization will have a table with information on how to get involved.

  • A screening of Oscar Micheaux’s classic, silent and controversial film “Body and Soul” will take place at 8 p.m. Sept. 28 in Wharton Center’s Great Hall with a 30-piece jazz orchestra including faculty members, students and jazz greats Marcus Belgrave, Rodney Whitaker, Alvin Atkinson, Bob Stewart and many more.   • The MSU Biomedical Engineering Society will present keynote speaker Neal Wright discussing how biothermal mechanics affect human soft tissues and cells at its monthly meeting, 6 p.m. Thursday in 2250 Engineering Bldg. For more information, visit www.egr.msu.edu/bmes.

  • Jim Bingen of the Department of Resource Development will discuss organic agriculture and marketing in Michigan at noon Thursday in 222 Erickson Hall. Current trends, informational resources and comparisons to regional Great Lake states will also be discussed.

  • Organization meetings

  • Campus Crusade for Christ will hold its “Prime Time” meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in N-100 Business College Complex. Meetings are held every Thursday.

  • The Adventist Student Fellowship will hold a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Friday at University Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 504 Ann St. There will be dinners on Friday evenings, including vegetarian menus.   • Phi Alpha Delta will have an informational meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in room 472 of the MSU-Detroit College of Law Building for any students interested in the legal profession. All majors are welcome to join this co-ed fraternity.

  • Students for a Free Tibet will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Illinois Room of the Union to update members on the situation in Tibet and make plans for the coming year. Everyone is welcome.

  • Habitat for Humanity will hold a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Illinois Room of the Union. The group offers a variety of service opportunities such as work crews, Book Buddies and fund-raisers for future events. Everyone is welcome, no experience is necessary and refreshments will be served.

  • The Preprofessional Society for Health Careers of Alpha Epsilon Delta is having its first meeting of the fall semester, “Meet Your Society,” at 7:30 p.m. today in the Northwestern Room of the Union. Here you will have the opportunity to meet the new executive board, learn about the organization’s plans for the upcoming year and welcome back two medical students who served as presidents.
