MSU President M. Peter McPherson and the MSU Board of Trustees left for Thursday for a three-day retreat at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville.
The annual retreat is used as an opportunity for a group of people to operate in a less formal environment, McPherson said.
Its something of a relaxed atmosphere, he said.
Several meetings are set to discuss various issues about facilities, athletics, incoming freshman statistics, and more.
Its almost a continuous meeting, Board Chairman Don Nugent said.
On Friday the board is set to conduct its annual evaluation of McPherson and the work hes done over the past year.
After this meeting, it will have a personal meeting with McPherson to discuss the comments and any concerns the trustees have, Nugent said.
The retreat runs to Friday.
