Students attend fair for live-birth exhibits

MSU veterinary students and veterinarians will be participating in the “Miracle of Life,” an exhibit at the Michigan State Fair that displays live births of farm animals.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday at the State Fairgrounds in Detroit.

People who attend the exhibit will get to see live births of piglets, calves, turkeys, quail and 16 breeds of chickens. Last year, 14 calves, 33 lambs and 52 piglets were born and more than 350 quail, ducks and chicks hatched.

Additional information about the veterinary profession and other topics will be available to the public.
