Student Employee of the Year awarded

Nicole Plott has been named MSU’s Student Employee of the Year for 2002.

She will be recognized with more than 100 other students at an awards reception from 4-5 p.m. Thursday in the Union.

Plott, who will receive her master’s degree in communication in May, has been working at the MSU College of Social Science since August, where she is development communications coordinator.

More than 100 people were nominated by their supervisors for this award, officials said.

Criteria for the award are based on reliability, quality of work, initiative and uniqueness of work of the nominated student.

“This reward is a tribute to work that the students do for the university, and it is a way for supervisors to honor and thank them for their work,” said Gale Gower, assistant director of the Student Employment Office in Career Services & Placement.
