Meridian Township police responded to a robbery at the East Lansing Inn, 2736 E. Grand River Ave., Wednesday morning, Meridian Township police Sgt. Al Spencer said. A male entered the inn at 7:21 a.m., said he had a weapon and demanded an undisclosed amount of money. Spencer said the case could be related to a Sunday morning robbery at the Pump-N-Shop, 743 W. Grand River Ave. in Okemos.• A female student reported her wallet and its contents stolen from her backpack in the Natural Resources Building, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student left her bag by her seat unattended while she spoke to the professor, when she returned, the wallet, valued at more than $60, was gone. Police have no suspects.Shannon Murphy
