Choices, decisions are part of what makes living life interesting

Sometimes the clock drives me crazy. It just doesn’t stop. We are so controlled by time that I find myself wasting too much precious time or trying to kill time while I’m waiting to do something more exciting.

But what bothers me more than the endless ticking of my watch is wondering if I’m making the wrong choices. So many events happen by fluke, it really starts to make you wonder how the smallest choices can affect the course your life takes.

If you’ve seen movies like “Sliding Doors” or “Run Lola Run,” you know how the smallest fluctuations in the timing of events can change the entire course of your life - where you’re supposed to be, who you’re supposed to be with, what you’re supposed to be doing. Those things can all change if you get caught up doing something else, even if it is just a matter of minutes, even seconds.

I’ve learned to deal with constant wondering of what is meant to happen by taking advantage of every opportunity that comes up and seeing what happens. Even the smallest things, such as deciding to go out on Friday night, can cause you to meet a person who then changes the course of your life, and maybe even those of your friends.

Everyone has a story of “at the last minute we just decided to go, and that’s when I met so-and-so
