Chocolate party benefit to improve Museum

February 22, 2002

Money and a taste for the sweet will get people into the MSU Museum’s Chocolate Party Benefit, taking place at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Kellogg Center.

The benefit offers chocolate cakes, tortes, cheesecakes, candy and fudge and will feature samples from various local restaurants and candy shops.

Money from the event benefits the MSU Museum, which houses more than 2.5 million objects from around the world.

Tickets are $25 for the general public and $22 for MSU Museum members. For $75, chocolate-lovers can get an “advance preview” of the event, a demonstration by a chef, and a one-year membership to the MSU Museum. Also included in the $75 is a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum.
