East Lansing officials are hoping more residents will pull out their crystal balls and forecast the future.

The city is holding the Big Picture event from 1-5:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbott Road.

Participants will be given the chance to share their opinions on how to make East Lansing a successful community and how to get involved in the city during small group sessions.

“We’re hoping to make this exciting and informative,” event spokeswoman Jennifer Haeusler said.

While items for the Big Picture time capsule have been slow arriving, Haeusler hopes more people will get involved so city officials can find out how the public wants the city to grow
