Abortion debate often fueled by emotion, not facts

I hate columns about abortion - along with brochures, pamphlets, speeches and signs - for two reasons. First, because the issue at hand is too complex for a thousand words, and second, because it’s one in which no logical argument can be made, the territory of life and humanity being far outside of the power of logic to decree and deny.

This is, of course, why many of those pamphlets and speeches ignore logic altogether and base their argument on emotional appeal.
