Alumnus: Treasure special E.L. places

Upon graduating, I have returned to MSU only twice, though I wish it could be more often. After visiting for “The Cold War,” it was so disappointing to see the commercial businesses. My alumni friends and I agree that what made East Lansing so interesting were the stores such as Where House Records.

Thank God In Flight was still there. These smaller stores always seemed busy when we attended school. It was surprising to see they did not last. And what is with those condominiums? How can they possibly fit the charm that was once Grand River Avenue? It is too bad to see the change. But please, students, support and save places like the Peanut Barrel Restaurant and In Flight Sports. You can find a Gap and Urban Outfitters anywhere.
