Police briefs 09/21/01

A man entered a house on M.A.C. Avenue and performed oral sex on a 28-year-old man sleeping on the couch early Tuesday, the East Lansing Police Department reported. A resident of the house confronted the 23-year-old suspect, who is a resident of East Lansing. Officers later located the suspect in a nearby alley.The Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office issued a two-count warrant for home invasion, punishable by up to 20 years in prison, and first-degree criminal sexual conduct, punishable by up to life in prison.l An Akers Hall stairwell window valued at $250 was broken Wednesday, said MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor. The window was broken between 7:15 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Police have no suspects.l A vehicle parking in Lot 89, the commuter lot, was broken into early Thursday morning, McGlothian-Taylor said. An officer witnessed the suspect shattering the vehicle’s window with a rock and trying to remove stereo and other electronic equipment. Damages are estimated to be about $500. Police are still trying to contact the vehicle’s owner, and are looking for other vehicles that may have been damaged.
