Police briefs 07/12/01

Two vehicles were broken into around 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Candlewood Suites, 3545 Forest Road. Both vehicles had their windows smashed, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said.A cell phone was taken from one vehicle while the other was missing a radar detector. The missing items are valued at $200. Damage to the vehicles was reported at $600. The thief is unknown.

  • The manager of Case Hall reported someone had stolen a black couch from the study room on the hall’s north side, Willis said.The couch, valued at $800, had been taken sometime between July 3 and Tuesday, Willis said. The thief is unknown.
