Police briefs 06/11/01

A 28-year-old male visitor reported his car had been broken into, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said.The theft occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, when the man had parked his vehicle in the parking lot of Candlewood Suite. The vehicle, a Ford Explorer, had been forcibly entered from the rear door. Losses include a car stereo, speakers, a CD case, radar detector and a pair of sunglasses.Complete losses are estimated at $800. Damage is estimated at $1,000 and police have no suspects.

  • While popular MSU personality Johnny Spirit was celebrating Sparty’s birthday Saturday at the statue, his video camera was stolen.Losses are estimated at $800. There are no suspects.
  • A 23-year-old male reported his cell phone stolen while he was at a party Saturday night, MSU police Sgt. Scott Beckner said. He had left his phone alone to charge when it was taken. Loss is estimated at $350. There are no suspects.
