Police briefs 05/23/01

An employee of Canteen Services, a vending company, reported that about $50 worth of candy was stolen from, and $10 of damage occurred to, a third-floor Student Services vending machine.The theft and damage occurred between May 15 and Monday, police said.Police have no suspects except for the staff of The State News, which is located on the same floor.

  • A 19-year-old male student reported his bike stolen from East Holden Hall, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said.The theft occurred between April 25-27. The bike was locked up to the rack, and both it and the lock were taken. The bike is valued at $400 and police have no suspects.
  • Approximately $300 worth of placards and stickers were taken from a campus vehicle between Friday and Monday.The stickers were all caution labels warning of corrosive materials or dangerous areas. The vehicle was a GMC 4000, and the back box was unlocked. Police have no suspects.
