Weekend Guide

Friday:

  • Ramon’s Restaurant and Lounge South, 1146 S. Washington Square in Lansing will host First World Fridays: International Dance Party. The event will be held from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and there is a $5 cover. For more information, contact Heran Sereke-Brhan at serekebr@msu.edu

  • The Boarshead Theater, 425 S. Grand Ave. in Lansing, will present “Blithe Spirit” at 8 p.m. Tickets are $19 for students, $24 for seniors and $29 for everyone else. For more information call 484-7805.

  • Comedian Bobby Nelson will perform at the Connxtions Comedy Club, 2900 N. East St. in Lansing. Showtimes are 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., and doors open at 7 p.m. It is an 18-and-older show with a $12 cover.

    Saturday:

  • A Japanese animation festival will be held at the East Lansing Public Library, 950 Abbott Road. Students from MSU’s Anime Club will give a short introduction and show three films. The free event is open to teenagers 13 and older, but registration is required. To register, call the reference desk at 351-2420 prior to the festival.
