Police briefs 03/27/01

A 19-year-old female student reported several pieces of jewelry stolen from her Wilson Hall room.The jewelry, including a necklace, earrings, a bracelet and rings, was taken between Thursday and Saturday, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said. The items, valued at $1,250, were stored in a dresser drawer.The student told police she sometimes leaves her room unlocked, but closes the door. Police have no suspects.

  • An officer on patrol in Ramp 4, at the Kellogg Center, found a vehicle with the front passenger window smashed and stereo removed.The damage was found at about 3:45 p.m. Sunday, Willis said. Police were working to contact the vehicle’s owner.Damage is estimated at $200. Police have no suspects.
