Police briefs 03/20/01

A microwave oven was reported stolen from the Brody Hall cafeteria Sunday.A cafeteria worker noticed the appliance missing between 6:45 p.m. and 7 p.m., MSU police Detective Tony Willis said.The microwave is valued at $125. Police have no suspects.

  • A Pepsi sign was stolen from a fountain drink machine at Wendy’s in the Union food court.The sign was taken between 9 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Willis said.The stolen sign is valued at $100. Police have no suspects.
  • A 20-year-old male student reported her car stereo and 30 CDs stolen from her vehicle parked in Lot 60, near the Physical Plant.The theft occurred between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Willis said. The driver’s side window had been smashed to gain entry to the car.Losses are valued at $600 and damages are estimated at $200. Police have no suspects.
  • A 19-year-old male student reported his 24-speed mountain bike stolen.The bike had been parked in the first floor Akers Hall bicycle storage room, Willis said, and was taken between March 1 and Sunday.Losses are estimated at $265. Police have no suspects.
