Weekend Guide

Friday:

  • First World Fridays will occur at Ramon’s Restaurant and Lounge, 1146 S. Washington Ave. in Lansing, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. For more information contact serekebr@msu.edu.

  • Kung Fu Diesel will perform at The Dollar Nightclub, 3411 E. Michigan Ave. in Lansing. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the band will play at 10 p.m. Those 21 and over are welcome, and there is a $3 cover.

  • Happendance School & Co. will celebrate its 25th anniversary this weekend with three shows at the MSU Fairchild Theatre. Show time is at 8 p.m. Prices are $10 for children and students with ID, and $15 for everyone else. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling the Wharton Center at (800) WHARTON.

  • Musicians Jim Hurst and Missy Raines, a mix of new acoustics, bluegrass and blues, will perform at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 855 Grove St., at 8 p.m. Prices are $10 for the general public, and a discount will be available for students.

  • The Boarshead Theater, 425 S. Grand Ave. in Lansing, presents “Sister Mary Ignatius explains it all for you” and “The Actor’s Nightmare.” The show starts at 8 p.m. Prices are $24 for general admission, $19 for senior citizens, and $14 for students.

  • The East Lansing Film Society will present “Spike & Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation” this weekend at the Campus Center at Wells Hall. The event will feature 16 new animated shorts. Show times are at 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Prices are $2 for students and $5 for everyone else.

    Saturday:
