Police briefs 02/05/01

A student’s cellular phone was stolen from her Emmons Hall dorm room sometime between 3 p.m. Thursday and 1:30 p.m. Friday, MSU police Sgt. Maureen Ramsey said.The student believes her room was closed - but unlocked - when the phone, valued at $150, was stolen from the top of her dresser. There are no suspects.

  • Sometime between 11:47 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday, a student’s 35 millimeter camera was stolen from his Hubbard Hall dorm room, Ramsey said.The Minolta camera was taken while the student was asleep in his room with his door unlocked. It is valued at $500 and there are no suspects.
  • A fight at Demonstration Hall was reported early Sunday morning, Ramsey said.It took place sometime between midnight and 12:50 a.m. at a skating party. Police dispersed the crowd.Damage to a glass pane on an interior door window amounted to $100 and damage to an exterior wooden door is estimated at more than $200. The complainants left the scene before police arrived.
