All the right moves

It’s like a scene from “Dirty Dancing.”

She’s across the crowded dance floor when your eyes meet and a tingle runs down your spine.

Everyone else seems to disappear as she looks at you, holding you captive with her gaze. Her eyebrows raise slightly and she moves toward you, hips swaying seductively.

You know it’s going to be a great night before she even says a word. She doesn’t need to speak - her body language speaks volumes.

Whether on the dance floor, in a job interview or in the classroom, facial expressions and body movements say a lot.

Body language is “important in so many different ways,” said Mark Knapp, communication professor at the University of Texas. “You’ve got some situations in which it’s important in the workplace.
