Right to privacy can extend to public photos, pictures should not be published

As I am not a woman, I cannot be totally sure of the impact an abortion can have on someone. Whether it is emotional, mental or physical, I’m sure there must be some level of effect on the woman having the procedure. And as if this and the procedure itself aren’t traumatizing enough, she also must go up against the pro-life activists. These activists block entrances, hound and shout at patrons - basically doing everything in their power short of physically assaulting women to get them to change their minds.

Dont be upset at corporate fat-cats, we all lie all the time anyway

I’m sure everyone is sick of reading columns on the Pledge of Allegiance by now, so today I’m going to talk about something else that has ties to religion - ethics. I know that sounds like a boring subject, but given recent headlines showcasing shady accounting practices, and now a lawsuit, against Vice President Dick Cheney and the oil company he ran for five years, I think it’s worth some discussion. Affirmative action insight comes after looking at options, seeing for oneself

Before coming to the United States to study at MSU almost three years ago, I had never even heard of affirmative action, let alone possessed an opinion on the matter. That sort of scenario doesn’t last long with people who are as opinionated as I am. Affirmative action was present, and still is, everywhere - in the media, lecture halls and casual conversation in the cafeteria.

With bloody knockout, Lewis proved Tyson is finished

Saturday night’s heavyweight bout confirmed my belief that Mike Tyson has forever fallen off the plateau of boxing superiority. The man called “Iron Mike,” who used to intimidate opponents first with his psychological warfare - he was quoted as saying he would eat Lennox Lewis’ unborn children - then knock them out with brute strength, was beaten by Lewis, clearly the more skilled and tactical fighter. I suspected that Lewis’ height and reach advantage would be too much for Tyson to overcome.

Living, learning: the acts of life

Act I I fell in love with drama at a young age. Growing up in the flourishing community of Canton, I was exposed to all sorts of traveling and high-school entertainment troupes. Acting owned Canton, with yuppies, including myself, packing the theaters every night. I soon realized I was tired of being a spectator.
