Two Board of Trustees seats are up for election. Here’s a voter guide with everything you need to know to cast your vote. Voters will be able to choose up to two candidates. Election Day is Nov. 8 and voters can cast their ballot at their local precinct. For more information on where to vote, visit the city clerk’s website or an on-campus satellite voting office.

At the Steering Committee meeting on Nov. 1, the committee received and discussed Provost Teresa Woodruff’s recommendation for provost and responded to comments made by Trustee Pat O’Keefe. The committee consists of faculty senate members, representatives from the Associated Students of MSU and the Council of Graduate Students and committee chairpersons.

The MSU Horticulture Gardens is hosting its seventh annual houseplant and succulent sale this Friday, Nov. 4. The sale, held at the Plant and Soil Sciences building at 1066 Bogue St., will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Customers will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of plants, including several Venus flytraps.

Coach James Bibbs, first Black head coach at MSU and first Black head track coach in the Big Ten, led the 2022 MSU Homecoming Parade as grand marshal. From high school baseball to running track and playing baseball at Eastern Michigan University, Bibbs is a well-versed athlete and coach that learned the ins and outs of athleticism throughout his career.
