A 19-year-old male student reported his Gateway laptop computer stolen Sunday from his West Akers Hall room, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The burglary occurred sometime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., after the student left his room with the laptop placed in its case near his dresser. When he returned at 3 p.m., the student noticed the laptop was missing, but the case had been left behind.
McGlothian-Taylor said it appeared the door had been locked when the student left and still was locked when he returned. No apparent damage was done to the room.
The laptop is valued at $1,100. Police have no suspects and the incident is under investigation.
