The preseason recognition continues to pile up for the MSU football program as four Spartans were named to CBS Sports’ preseason All-Big Ten Team.
Senior guard Chris McDonald is the lone representative on the offensive team from the Green and White.
The Spartans are represented on all three levels of the defensive team, however, with junior defensive end William Gholston, junior linebacker Denicos Allen and senior corner back Johnny Adams also cracking the list. All four players have been named to various preseason watch lists for awards at their respective positions.
CBS Sports also released its list of preseason All-Americans, on which Gholston was chosen to the second team with LSU’s Barkevious Mingo. The first-team defensive end selections were a pair of juniors: Sam Montgomery of LSU and Texas’ Jackson Jeffcoat.
