MSU students off to see USA vs. Mexico in Columbus

The legend of Dos a Cero is more than just a score, it’s a trio of results that will live in U.S. Soccer’s history forever. The last three times the U.S. and Mexico have tangled in World Cup qualifiers in the U.S. were in Columbus, Ohio at Columbus Crew Stadium. Each time the score ended in 2-0 in favor of the Americans.


Thelen bends MSU into victory

A popular phrase in soccer is “Bend it like Beckham,” but in the MSU men’s soccer team’s 1-0 win against Oregon State Friday afternoon, it should have been “Bend it like Thelen.”

Just a day after receiving a Big Ten Tournament championship title, the MSU men’s soccer team (11-9-1 overall, 3-3-0 Big Ten) had to move on from its glory and look ahead to what’s next: an NCAA Tournament.


Soccer team falls short to Indiana

The MSU men’s soccer team saw its season come to an end Wednesday with a 2-1 loss to Indiana in the Big Ten Tournament in the quarterfinals. The Spartans fell behind 2-0 in the first 47 minutes before netting a goal in the 81st minute. The Hoosiers netted the first goal in the 38th minute with a shot from about 22 yards out.
